This project I completed under the supervision of two Book and Paper conservators allowed me to gain firsthand experience in performing repairs that need to withstand repeated use but also be visually unobtrusive.

Working in the Textile Lab at the Minnesota History Center introduced me to textile conservation and assessment, cataloguing, and archival practices.

My experience examining taxidermy for the presence of heavy metals exposed me to conservational field work, the use of new technology in the field, and making conservational determinations based on a variety of factors.

Working with this piece allowed me to focus on balancing aesthetic authenticity with longevity and performing time sensitive techniques.

Working with both indoor and outdoor sculpture has allowed me to expand my conservational knowledge into objects that have unique durability and longevity concerns.

Through my conservation experiences, I have learned and refined my skills with a variety of treatments and mediums.
